What is the goal of Impact x Netflix DACH?
The goal of Impact x Netflix DACH is to identify and accelerate the professional development of DACH region film and TV writers.
How does Impact x Netflix DACH work?
Starting November 15, 2021, Impact will host online open submissions through which writers of all levels from or living in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland can apply with a well-thought out idea and writing sample for consideration to develop in the Impact x Netflix DACH accelerator program. Applications will close on January 1, 2022 11:59pm CET.
Applications will be vetted via Impact’s review process before a subset of applicants are interviewed by Impact. From there, a group of finalists selected by Impact will have their proposed project presented to Netflix by the Impact team. If your project is selected by Netflix for the accelerator program, you will be offered a spot in the Impact x Netflix DACH accelerator program and sign a writer agreement with Netflix in accordance with Netflix’s customary terms and conditions for such writer agreements.
In the accelerator program, you and your project will be paired by Impact with a Shaper (an experienced industry TV or screenwriter) who will work with you from May 2 - June 24, 2022 on the development of your project. In addition, you will participate in weekly seminars and Q&As with industry executives and talent to get a crash course on film and TV development and production.
