Can we apply as a writing team?
Yes, we encourage writing teams (of no more than two persons per team) to apply together. Please note, however, you cannot apply as both a team and an individual, nor as a member of multiple teams. You can only have your name on one submitted application per prompt.
Do writing teams have to submit more than one application?
No, applications are submitted on a per project basis so a writing team should submit one application together.
How should a writing team answer questions?
Most teams either answer the questions with one voice with the answers written as a "We" or they format their responses separately with line breaks such as:
PARTNER 1: This is my answer
PARTNER 2: This is my answer
You can use either format, and it is okay for it to vary between questions. If a question only applies to one person (eg. only one of you has produced work) make sure to denote who is replying.
How should a writing team handle the 30 second video?
Teams should send in one video that is a total of 30 seconds long and in which both team members appear. Some teams choose to do a split screen for the full 30 seconds while others give each member of the team their own 10-15 seconds. It is up to you.
How should a writing team select a writing sample?
Teams should ideally submit a completed work they have written together that best represents their ability to execute the idea they are submitting.
If this will be the first time the team is writing together, they should select the one individual work between the two of them that best represents their ability to execute the idea they are submitting.
What if my team is more than two people?
The application only has room for two names as that is the industry standard for teams.
