Why is adding a bio important?
This is the expanded space on your profile where you can share all of the things that make you you and explain your experiences, interests, skills, and awards. Remember - producers and executives can search by keyword, so having full bios that include your non-writing background will be beneficial too. Feel free to tell us about previous careers and/or interests and activities outside of writing.
Adding a Bio via Profile Onboarding Block
- On a new profile, you may see Profile Incomplete block on your profile page.
- To add Bio, you can click on the "Add Bio" link on that block

Adding a Bio via Add Section button
- On a new profile, click on the Add Section button
- Click Bio

Writing a Bio on a Profile
- Once you've activated the "Edit Background" box, you can now write a Bio for your profile.
- Write out your Bio in the Summary box. We do support double spacing with unlimited characters.
- Click Save Changes
Editing an existing Bio on a Profile
- Go to the "BACKGROUND" block on your profile.
- Click on the Pencil icon (Edit)
- Edit the existing text in the Summary Box
- Click Saves Changes
